The LASIK procedure is virtually painless. Topical anesthesia (drops that are placed in the eye) is used during the procedure, and you should not experience any significant discomfort at any stage of the procedure.
For the next 24 hours after the procedure, there may be dryness or a sensation that there is a grain of sand in your eye. After 24 hours, there should be no discomfort at all.
Our success is built upon giving our patients the very best outcome that can possibly be achieved through laser correction. We attribute our Laser technology and the expertise of our Lasik Specialists to give you an individualized laser correction based on your eye needs. This has enabled us to give our patients sharper, better and clearer vision than what they experience with glasses and contact lenses. We maintain the highest standards of safety and patient care. The percentage of our patients achieving excellent vision is very high.
Most of the eye growth takes place upto the age of 18 years. After this the eye number tends to stabilize and not change. Lasik should be done after the stability of the glass number has occurred for at least 1 year. The results are then permanent.

By choosing your laser technology and choosing a reputed Lasik team, you will ensure that you get the results of better, sharper and safe natural vision. Ensure that you get the Doctor’s personal attention, he / she can answer all your queries and that he / she is certified in Laser Correction & Refractive Surgery.
Visual recovery after treatment is rapid. Most people achieve good vision the day after surgery and find that their eyes feel fairly normal 24 hours later. You will be able to resume your routine activities like driving, watching T.V, Reading and working on the computer within 2 days. However, your sight will improve even further, and the very best vision could take two weeks to achieve.

Your initial LASIK assessment will take around one hour. During your initial assessment you will receive a complete eye examination, along with a number of special tests that are not routinely performed for glasses or contact lens fitting. These completely painless, non-invasive tests allow us to determine whether you are an appropriate candidate for LASIK, or another refractive procedure. During this examination, your eyes will be dilated.
For LASIK surgery, you will be in the operation room for about 20 minutes. You will need to allow few hours on the day of your surgery, to allow for surgical preparation, Procedure and Postoperative instructions...after procedure you can go home.
Follow-up examinations are routinely performed 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and 3 months after your surgery.
In most cases, LASIK offers patients a rapid recovery of vision with little or no discomfort. However, the visual results are not instantaneous, particularly for patients with more than 5 diopters of myopia. In most cases, LASIK recovery takes only a few days, but it may take up to three weeks, sometimes longer, for the shape of the cornea to stabilize following surgery for those with severe myopia.
On day after Lasik you will have good vision without specs to enable you to carry out your normal activities. The quality of sharpness of vision continues to improve to about 4 to 6 weeks.
